14 Brisbane Forest Park Walk
One of the best aspects of visiting Brisbane has to be the abundance and variety of walkable neighborhoods around and in the city itself.
Take the Aurucaria Circuit along the beautiful shores of Brisbane’s heritage-listed Enoggera Reservoir and its new sandy beach.
The two bush tracks that make up the Walkabout Creek walks start at the information center and parking lot for the creek; the shorter track is a circuit through a wet eucalyptus forest, and the longer one circles the shores of the historic Enoggera Reservoir before looping through a bird-infested forest with hoop pine.
- Corymbia Circuit: This is a beautiful short bushwalk for a fast time out of the city. It is a 1.5 km (45 minutes) at times steep route through an established wet eucalypt forest of spotted gums and bloodwoods. Be careful since, despite the fact that summer is nice and cool, snakes also agree and frequently may be seen on walkways lounging throughout the height of the season.
- Araucaria Circuit: The longer of the two loops, at around 5 km (1.5-2 hours) round trip, includes the banks of the 1866-built Enoggera Reservoir and offers an excellent opportunity to see plenty of bird activity in the early morning or late afternoon, as well as some turtle activity in the water reeds.
15 Rosé and Champagne Garden Pop-Up
On our last list of things to do in Brisbane this weekend is to visit the Rosé and Champagne Garden Pop-Up. Located in the thriving heart of Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
